Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor broke the internet when she tested positive for coronavirus last month. While the singer was kept in the isolation ward in Lucknow, she was accused of endangering lives by roaming around in the city, attending parties when she should have been in quarantine. Kapoor had returned from London on March 20 and it was said that she skipped screening at the airport and led a normal life in Lucknow. Now that the Baby Doll singer has recovered from the novel coronavirus, reports suggest that she will be interrogated by the Lucknow Police.

John Prine, the legendary singer/songwriter who blended country and folk musi, died on Tuesday following a battle with the coronavirus. He was 73. A national outpouring of grief soon followed after news of his death was reported. “Prine,” wrote Stephen L. Betts and Patrick Doyle for Rolling Stone, “who for five decades wrote rich, plain-spoken songs that chronicled the struggles and stories of everyday working people and changed the face of modern American roots music, died Tuesday at Nashville’s Vanderbilt University Medical Center.”According to his family, the cause was complications related to coronavirus, or Covid-19.

Bengali folk artiste Ratan Kahar on Wednesday said he was happy after talking to rapper Badshah, who had weaved lines of his folk song into ‘Genda Phool’ music video, and is now looking forward to collaborate with him together, leaving behind any controversy or bitterness. Kahar confirmed that he has received Rs 5 lakh from Badshah on March 6 but said that more than monetary help, he is happy to get recognised as the original lyricist of the Bengali folk song.

Actor Sachiin J. Joshi, who is stranded in Dubai, has offered his hotel here to the BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to quarantine COVID-19 positive patients coming from abroad. Sachiin’s Beatle Hotel in Powai is a 36-room property. “Mumbai being a densely populated city, there are not enough hospitals and beds to take measures to save our city. When the BMC approached us for help, we voluntarily agreed to help,” Sachiin said.
