Amidst the pandemic situation, associations governing the film and television industry in India issued a directive putting all sorts of shooting on hold. This has created a situation of channels to re-run popular shows to keep the masses entertained. Salman Khan’s popular reality show Bigg Boss 13 was re-aired amid the nationwide lockdown. But, it failed to grab people’s attention.
The channel brought back Balika Vadhu and Belan Wali Bahu along with Bigg Boss 13. Owing to high TRP’s and Salman’s humongous fan following, the channel has decided to re-run the show. Bigg Boss has been the most successful reality show on TV and Salman’s hosting, his banter with the contestants and his lively persona on-screen has boosted the progress of the show. The re-runs started airing on March 13 and was abruptly pulled off on April 14 as it failed to keep the masses entertained the second time. They have replaced the show with Dance Deewane season 1.
Bigg Boss 13 was won by TV actor Siddharth Shukla. The show starred Asim Riaz, Shehnaaz Gill, Rashami Desai, Himanshi Khurana, Paras Chhabra among others.

Guess who has Thor’s hammer – Mjolnir. Actress Cate Blanchett, who played the role of Hela in Taika Waititi’s Thor: Ragnarok, revealed that she has Thor’s legendary hammer. During her online appearance on Tuesday’s The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, she spoke what is the legendary thing she owns.
“You know how that Thor film that was shut down in Australia? It wasn’t anything to do with COVID-19. It was because I got the hammer. I have Mjölnir here. And, look at how easy I can lift it,” she said.
She further revealed she also has certain things from the film, The Hobbit. “I was looking for my ears—for my elf ears and I couldn’t find them. And I know the kids have Hobbit feet somewhere and I thought, Oh, I’d love to show them to you. Couldn’t find them. But I did find Tauriel’s fighting blades…I mean, some people stock toilet paper, but I’ve got these,” she said.

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, who has been urging everyone to stay indoors amid lockdown, has slammed the violators of the law. In a new video shared on his Instagram, he spoke at length about putting family and friend’s lives at risk during this Coronavirus pandemic.
Salman Khan spoke about how a friend went to get ration for his family when he was stopped by the cops. He removed his mask to speak to them and when he returned home, even Salman said that removing the mask was a bad call. He spoke about people who are stepping our unnecessarily are putting people’s lives at risk. He said that this is the reason the cases in India have increased whereas China has come out of the bad phase.
Salman further spoke about violators of the lockdown and the reason cops are getting strict. “Agar aap bahar nahi nikal rahe hote apne dost aur yaaron ke saath, toh policewaale aapke putto pe danda nahi maar rahe hote (If you don’t step out with friends, police wouldn’t hit your behinds with canes). Do you think the police is enjoying it?,” he said.
“Doctors aur nurses aapki jaan bachaane ke liye aaye aur aapne unpe patthar barsa diye (You started pelting stone at doctors and nurses who wanted to save your lives?)” he questioned. “Those who have been diagnosed with coronavirus, are running away from the hospitals. Where are you running? Towards life or death?,” he added.
Salman, on Wednesday, also shared a message of communal harmony amid this difficult time. He shared a photo of two men from different religions praying at home and setting a great example. The actor is currently at his Panvel farmhouse with some of his family members.

In a shocking turn of events, film, television and theatre actor Ranjit Chowdhry passed away at the age of 65 on April 15, Wednesday. He was the son of actress Pearl Padamsee and has a career of over four decades and has featured in films like Rekha starrer Khubsoorat, Bandit Queen, Khatta Meetha, Baton Baton Mein, Mississippi Masala, Lonely in America, among many others. The news of his sad demise was shared by his half-sister and well-known theatre personality in Mumbai Raell Padamsee on social media. The funeral ceremony of the actor will be held on Thursday.
