Coolie No 1: Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan to shoot a romantic song in Goa

Varun Dhawan, who was last seen in Street Dancer 3D, is currently shooting for Coolie No 1. He will once again collaborate with his father, David Dhawan for the remake of the 90s hit which starred Govinda and Karisma Kapoor in the lead roles. Sara Ali Khan is the leading lady and reprising the role of Karisma. Paresh Rawal will be stepping into the shoes of Kader Khan.

Coolie No 1: Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan to shoot a romantic song in Goa

While the film is almost complete, Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan will head to Goa along with Jaaved Jaffery for the shoot of a romantic song. In the film, Sara hails from Goa and will be filming important scenes along with Jaaved that is integral for the narrative. The plan is to shoot this recreation of the original song at the beach locations and capture the scenic beauty. The song, right now unknown, is recreated by Tanishq Bagchi.

The original film featured some of the iconic songs including ‘Husn Hai Suhana’ and ‘Main Toh Raste Se Ja Raha Tha’ which will be recreated in the remake.

Pooja Entertainment’s Coolie No 1, directed by David Dhawan, starring Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh, is all set to release on May 1, 2020.

Lyricist Manoj Muntashir joins Aamir Khan, Kangana Ranaut bandwagon of boycotting award shows, here’s why

Ranveer Singh won Best Actor award for his performance in Gully Boy. The film made a clean sweep of overall 13 awards, the actor was extremely delighted. Before taking his flight and returning to Mumbai, the actor went live on Instagram post-midnight and thanked his fans for always supporting him. “Thank you for always embracing me, my graft, giving me love as an entertainer & allowing me to entertain you. You are the wind beneath my wings. Everything I do, I do it for you.”

As the actor loves to leave a mark wherever he goes, his style statement was truly grabbing attention. Known for his vivid sense of style, Ranveer Singh, on Friday, was snapped at the Kalina airport in Mumbai while he was heading to Assam. The actor wore head-to-toe Marcelo Burlon County Of Milan Easy Rider print shirt worth Rs. 52,292.06 (675 Euro) with the same Easy Rider pants which seems to be unavailable on the official website at the moment. He paired up his look with Che Guevara beret and black sneakers.

Once again, Ranveer and his stylist Nitasha Gaurav created a stunning look. Ditching dramatic fashion, the actor opted for a more subtle look for the awards night. Dressed in black glitter jacket with a crisp white shirt and black pants from Chennai-based designer Kaushik Velendra Autumn/Winter 2020 collection, the actor looked sharp in the evening wear. Known for adding detachable muscle pads on the shoulders, this was the first time the designer styled a Bollywood star. And interestingly, it was Deepika who chose the outfit for him. The actress commented on his photo revealing, “guess who chose his suit for tonight!? yours truly.”

At the airport during the wee hours of Sunday, Ranveer was papped again and this time, he went for a more outlandish look. The actor wore a metallic hi-shine foil box coat from the brand Berthold that has a detachable hood, snap button closure and front patch pockets that cost up to Rs. 46,404.46 (599 Euro). He paired up the look with similar multi-pleated draw-string trouser worth Rs. 22,698.62 (293 Euro). He completed his look with black shoes and black faux fur bucket hat and shades.

Ranveer Singh was awarded the Best Actor award by Madhuri Dixit. The actor shared a photo with her and wrote, “A very special moment that I’ll never forget ???????? receiving the Filmfare Best Actor trophy from one of the Greats..Legend of the silver screen..the one and only @MadhuriDixit. Etched in my heart forever ❤️ #blessed #grateful.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Ranveer Singh has two releases this year. The actor will star as Kapil Dev in Kabir Khan’s ’83. The film is releasing on April 10, 2020. This will be followed by Jayeshbhai Jordaar that might release by the end of 2020.

Filmfare Awards 2020: Kesari lyricist Manoj Muntashir vows to never attend awards after losing to Gully Boy

The Filmfare Awards 2020 was held on Saturday night in Guwahati, Assam. Filmfare, which is considered one of the most coveted film awards of Hindi cinema, saw the presence of stars like Ranveer Singh, Taapsee Pannu, Alia Bhatt, Akshay Kumar, Madhuri Dixit and several others. Vicky Kaushal and Karan Johar turned hosts for the night.

While Gully Boy swept most of the awards including best film, best actor and actress, not all were impressed by the choice. Lyricist Manoj Muntashir took to Twitter to express his disappointment at losing in the Best Lyrics category to Gully Boy. In his tweet, he wrote that he will not be able to write lines better than he wrote in the song Teri Mitti from Kesari for which he was nominated. Hence, he decided to never attend award functions in the future.

“Dear Awards…Even if I try all my life..I won’t be able to write a better line than ..’Tu Kahti Thee Tera Chaand Hoon Main Aur Chaand Hoon MainAur Chaand Humesha Rahta hai.’ You failed to honour the words which made millions of Indians cry and care for their motherland. It would be a great disrespect to my art if I still continue caring for you. So here I bid you a final goodbye. I officially announce- I won’t attend any award show till I breathe my last. Alvida,” he wrote.

Manoj Muntashir was nominated alongside Amitabh Bhattacharya (Kalank), Divine and Ankur Tewari (Gully Boy), Irshad Kamil (Kabir Singh), Manoj Muntashir (Kesari), Mithoon (Kabir Singh), and Tanishk Bagchi (Kesari).
