Tiger Shroff made his debut with the film Heropanti in 2014, now 6 years and quite a few films later, we hear that the actor is all set on featuring in the second instalment of the film. If what we hear is true, then apparently Tiger Shroff will commence work on Heropanti 2 after he completes Baaghi 3.

Commenting on the same, a source close to the venture says, “Yes Tiger has been locked for the second instalment of Heropanti. Currently, Tiger is working on Baaghi 3 and will commence work on this after it.” Ask the source for more details and they add, “The first was directed by Sabbir Khan, but Heropanti 2 will be directed by Ahmed Khan, and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.” Further talking about the film, the source continues, “Given that the first film featured some high octane stunts, be rest assured the second will take things to the next level.”

Though currently an official announcement is awaited, industry buzz states that once the script and story is locked, the makers will formally announce the venture.

The 2018 super-hit Simmba worked big time not just because of it’s performances, concept and of course the smashing cameo of Ajay Devgn as Singham, but also because the makers introduced a new cop – Sooryavanshi – played by Akshay Kumar. It gave rise to Rohit Shetty’s cop universe too. The film on Sooryavanshi is all set to release next month and all eyes are now whether they’ll be a repeat of Simmba. In other words, moviegoers and trade are already speculating whether a new cop of the cop universe will make its appearance in Sooryavanshi finale. The internet is buzzing with reports that Hrithik Roshan will be the fourth cop of this franchise.

Director Rohit Shetty however has set the record straight. In a conversation with the media recently, he made it clear that he won’t be introducing a new character in the last scene of Sooryavanshi. He also added that the next film of the cop universe will be Singham 3. He also added that the reason he won’t be introducing any new character is because he’ll then face the pressure of making a film on it immediately.

Rohit Shetty, meanwhile, also gave an update on Farah Khan’s next directorial that he’s producing. He clarified that their venture is totally different from the 1982 film Satte Pe Satta, as reported by a section of media. However, the film will take some time to roll as Farah is still writing it.

Coming back to Rohit’s cop universe, it all began with the first part of Singham, which released in 2011. It was loved for it’s treatment and Ajay Devgn’s massy avatar. At the box office, it was a huge hit. The next part, Singham Returns, arrived in 2014 and also was a success. This was followed by the Ranveer Singh-starrer Simmba. It was an even bigger hit and it made it clear that Rohit intends to carve out a franchise out of these super cop characters.

Interestingly, Singham 3 won’t be the only film on which Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty are collaborating next. They’ll also be seen in the fifth part of Golmaal, titled Golmaal Five. The project was announced in November 2019 and it now remains to be seen which one goes on floors first.

Yash Raj Films is ensuring that the much-anticipated sequel Bunty Aur Babli 2, which has been completely rebooted and is set in today’s day and age, will have a scale that will wow audiences. We have confirmed information that the entire Bunty Aur Babli 2 team is travelling to Abu Dhabi and will shoot an elaborate con sequence in the Middle East. YRF wants the cons in the sequel, which is this year’s big summer entertainer, to be a little larger than life and also a visual treat for audiences.

“Bunty Aur Babli 2 will be the quintessential Hindi film that will be presented as the big summer entertainer to the youth and family audiences. We are clear that given it’s a sequel to a much-loved film which is set in today’s time, the cons need to be crafted for today’s audience who will expect something new and slick. They will get exactly that when they see the film in theatres,” informs Varun Sharma, the director of the film.

Varun adds, “We are shooting a highlight con in Abu Dhabi. The landscape of Abu Dhabi just gives a lot of scale to the film and the team is going to spend around 10 days shooting the con and also some parts of the film. We want to make Bunty Aur Babli 2 a cool entertainer for all.”

Bunty Aur Babli 2 will introduce an incredibly fresh pair as the new talented conmen. Siddhant Chaturvedi, the Gully Boy hunk who played the role of MC Sher with elan, is the new Bunty and YRF is launching a new heroine to watch out for with this franchise. Babli will be played by Sharvari Wagh, a stunningly gorgeous girl that YRF discovered two years back and has been grooming her since then!

The film, in an exciting casting coup, also reunites Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukerji and will present them as the original Bunty Aur Babli in the film! Saif and Rani were a blockbuster Jodi as they delivered big hits like Hum Tum and Ta Ra Rum Pum and were celebrated as a pair to watch out for given their infectious chemistry.

Produced by Aditya Chopra, Bunty Aur Babli 2 will be directed by debutant Varun, who worked as an Assistant Director in YRF’s biggest blockbusters Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai. Varun adds, “I can’t divulge anything further except that it will be a con that will stand out. We can’t wait to shoot this sequence.”
