The rumours have been put to rest! South Indian superstar Vijay Deverakonda is indeed making his Bollywood debut in a Dharma film opposite Ananya Panday. The makers welcomed the Student of the Year 2 actress on social media and said, “Happy to Welcome on board Gorgeous Happy to Welcome on board Gorgeous Ananya Panday for our Pan India venture with Vijay Deverakonda”. The film, which is tentatively titled Fighter, is being directed by Puri Jagannadh and produced by Karan Johar, Charmme Kaur and Apoorva Mehta.

Sara Ali Khan will be soon playing double role on-screen with Anand L Rai’s Atrangi Re. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror Sara will be seen playing a double role for the first time in Akshay Kumar and Dhanush starrer Atrangi Re. The film is a cross-cultural love story set in Madurai and Bihar. “While Atrangi Re is primarily a love story set in the heartland, laced with humour, the storytelling is in a zone the filmmaker has not attempted before. The screenplay follows a non-linear narrative of two romances from different timelines running in the parallel,” a source was quoted in Mumbai Mirror as saying.

British-Indian actor Dev Patel will feature in the big screen adaptation of “Flash Crash”, a dramatic thriller set in the UK stock market. The movie, a See-Saw Films and New Regency project, is based on “Flash Crash: A Trading Savant, a Global Manhunt, and the Most Mysterious Market Crash in History”, an upcoming book by Bloomberg journalist Liam Vaughan.

Actor Riteish Deshmukh and Sairat director Nagraj Manjule are coming together for another interesting project. The duo made an announcement on Wednesday that they are currently working on a multilingual trilogy on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. They announced it on his 390th birth anniversary. It will be produced by Riteish Deshmukh’s production – Mumbai Film Company.
Riteish took to Twitter to share a teaser of the announcement. He wrote, “Proud to present. Seeking your blessings, Jay Shivray.”

Along with Najraj, his Sairat music composers Ajay-Atul are also part of the upcoming trilogy.
On the work front, Riteish Deshmukh is gearing up for the release of Baaghi 3 starring alongside Tiger Shroff, Shraddha Kapoor and Ankita Lokhande. The film, directed by Ahmed Khan, is releasing on March 6.
On the other hand, Najraj Manjule has directed by Amitabh Bachchan starrer Jhund that is scheduled for May 8, 2020, release.

Filmmaker Aanand L Rai is ready for his next directorial after Shah Rukh Khan starrer Zero. In January 2020, he announced a special film titled Atrangi Re starring Akshay Kumar with Sara Ali Khan and South star Dhanush. Aanand L Rai’s frequent collaborator Himanshu Sharma has penned the script. The director said that the story is a great mix of two Indian cultures. He also revealed that they will begin shooting in Bihar before heading to Madurai.
Now, it is being reported that Sara Ali Khan will have double role of sorts and the idea is to showcase the diverse sides of her. It seems like just like Sara, Akshay and Dhanush’s characters too will have special traits that is separating them from the rest of the cast. Meanwhile, the makers are designing a special look for Akshay Kumar.
They have a total of 80-90 days of shoot that will commence in March and Akshay will join the crew mid-April after Sara and Dhanush complete Bihar and Madurai schedules. AR Rahman will compose music for the film. Atrangi Re is scheduled for Valentine’s Day 2021 release.

In October 2019, Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani kickstarted their film, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 which is set to be the sequel to Akshay Kumar starrer. The film went on floor in presence of the director Anees Bazmee and producers Bhushan Kumar and Murad Khetani. Tabu joined the cast on a later date.
Earlier, Vidya Balan danced to the beats of ‘Ami Je Tomar’ in the original film. Now, Tabu will be dancing on the same song which is being recreated for this film. She is very excited and looking forward to it. Besides this song, ‘Hare Ram’ will also be recreated in the film. While the speculations are rife about Akshay Kumar’s cameo in the film but nothing has been confirmed yet.
Meanwhile, the team of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 will head to Jaipur for 10 days before heading to Lucknow to shoot at a palace. Anees Bazmee and the team looked for various palaces before locking down the Lucknow one. They plan to wrap up the second schedule by mid-April before shooting some portions in Mumbai later.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Murad Khetani and Krishan Kumar under the banner of T-Series and Cine1 Studios. Directed by Anees Bazmee and starring Kartik Aaryan, the film is written by Farhad Samji and Aakash Kaushik. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is scheduled to release on July 31st, 2020.
