The wait is finally over! Carpool Karaoke featuring South Korean septet BTS is here and we are just living this moment! After the release of their highly anticipated album, ‘Map Of The Soul: 7’, James Corden dropped the much-awaited video of the septet – RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook – having a gala time jamming on their own songs!
BTS featured in the long-awaited Carpool Karaoke and let’s just say, these seven human beings are so much FUN! Kickstarting with their dance number ‘Mic Drop’, the members along with James jammed on this track before moving onto Bruno Mars’ ‘Finesse’ ft. Cardi B. This was followed by them crooning their title track ‘ON’ from ‘Map Of The Soul: 7‘ as Jungkook showcased his powerful vocals while singing the bridge part. The ended the Carpool Karaoke with Post Malone’s ‘Circles’. Interestingly, James also sang many of the Korean verses which was truly amazing to watch as the host took an effort to learn the song.
During the conversations, RM revealed how he learned English while watching Friends series. Jin and Suga, who were at the back, also said that they have watched the show too but didn’t learn English. Jin, the eternal source of cracking jokes, said that he couldn’t understand James’ punchline but went ahead to laugh. Calling him as the ‘Joke Guy’, the conversations between them were hilarious. He said, “The highlight of the episode has to be when James addressed Jimin as ‘mochi’, the nickname given to him as both of them called each other Papa Mochi and Baby Mochi.
That’s not it! This Carpool Karaoke was a little different. The septet headed to the dance studio where James Corden is a regular member. As they learned new moves, Jimin went ahead to teach the class ‘ON’ choreography. What phenomenal dancers!
BTS performed ‘Black Swan’ for the very first time on The Late Late Show With James Corden in January 2020. Their fourth LP released on February 21, 2020.
