When Shaheen Bhatt had to walk out of a photoshoot for being fatter and darker than Alia Bhatt and Pooja Bhatt

Alia Bhatt’s elder sister Shaheen Bhatt is into a commendable job of continuously harping on the stigma around mental health in India while she repeatedly opens up on her own battle with depression and how taxing it was. While speaking to a popular story-telling platform, Shaheen revealed how mental illness became a part of her life at an early age and every incident would trigger it further.

She also recalled an instance wherein she was asked to step out of a photoshoot with sisters Alia Bhatt and Pooja Bhatt as she was darker and heavier.

“At that point, everything triggered my anxiety–like the photoshoot incident with Alia & Pooja where I was asked to step out of the frame as I was overweight & much darker,” the platform’s Instagram post quoted her saying.

It took me becoming suicidal to realize I couldn’t keep my struggle a secret. So I started seeing a therapist, pushed myself out of hiding & shared my feelings with my loved ones. My family was really supportive. When Alia told me how guilty she felt about not knowing, I almost wished I’d opened up to her earlier. They made it so easy for me to talk to them! In 2016, I went public with my depression & was flooded with messages from people who were going through something similar. So I shared myself in the biggest way I could & wrote a book about my journey with depression–all in the hope that I could help even one person feel less alone. Today, I accept & love myself in ways I never did before. I don’t wait for things to go bad to take care of my mental health–I deserve to be loved & cared for even on good days! If I’m having a bad day, I don’t beat myself up–it’s kind of like the weather; when it’s raining, you don’t yell at the skies to stop! Shaheen says she started visiting a therapist only after she realised this wasn’t something she could fix herself. “My family was really supportive. When Alia told me how guilty she felt about not knowing, I almost wished I’d opened up to her earlier. They made it so easy for me to talk to them,” she was further quoted.

In the recent past, we have seen Alia lending active hands to Shaheen as to continues to write, speak and create awareness about mental health and hopes to bring about a positive change.

Here’s to the next time,” she wrote, sharing a happy photo of herself, Nick and her mother Madhu Chopra posing with hosts Natasha Poonawalla and Adar Poonawalla. Priyanka’s friend Tamanna Dutt and husband Sudeep Dutt are also seen in the picture.

Priyanka and Nick also attended a star-studded Holi bash hosted by Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal in Mumbai. The party was also attended by Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal, Rajkummar Rao Huma Qureshi, Priyanka’s brother Sidharth Chopra and his rumoured girlfriend Neelam Upadhyaya. Nick, who celebrated Holi for the first time, simply could not get enough of the fun!

Baaghi 3 Box Office Collections: The Tiger Shroff starrer collects well on Monday, set for a good jump today

Baaghi 3 collected Rs. 9.06 crores on Monday and given the kind of health scare which is prevalent globally due to coronavirus, these are good enough numbers. The film had first faced the heat over the weekend and while Sunday numbers were quite good, these could have been further huge if not for the prevailing issue. Still, on Monday the Tiger Shroff starrer managed to fight off the battle and fall less than 50% when compared to Rs. 17.50 crores that it had collected on Friday.

So far, the film has collected Rs. 62.89 crores and today would be quite good due to Holi. That said, it is pretty much like a partial holiday because while late afternoon and evening shows would be quite good, morning and afternoon won’t contribute much due to most of the properties being shut down to the festival.

Nonetheless, the good news for the Sajid Nadiadwala production is that it has already gone past the entire first week numbers of Street Dancer 3D [Rs. 56.77 crores]. In fact with some good push today, it may even surpass the lifetime numbers of the dance drama. The Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor starrer had collected Rs. 75 crores and by the look of things, Ahmed Khan directed Baaghi 3 could well go past that number today, hence turning out to be the second biggest grosser of 2020 so far.

Holi 2020: Rishi Kapoor sends in best wishes with a throwback picture

The festival of colours is here! While we indulge in some colourful celebration with our near ones, Bollywood stars have been sending in their best wishes too. Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor took to Twitter to share a throwback picture of himself on the occasion.

Kapoor, drenched in colours, must not have been more than a teen-ager when the photo was clicked. “A young Brat wishes a safe and a happy Holi to all. Be careful of the Carona Virus,” he wrote.  That is a crucial warning too! 
The actor spent nearly a year in New York for cancer treatments before he returned home a few months back and resumed work. However, he was recently rushed to the hospital again. While he himself called it a mere infection, various reports suggested he had a relapse, and was being kept under medical observation.
Kapoor will be next seen in Sharmaji Namkeen, co-starring Juhi Chawla. His last release was the mystery thriller film The Body, also starring Emraan Hashmi.

In a video, Varun Dhawan can be seen stepping out of his car and walked up to a policeman standing next to his car and jokingly complained about a photographer who runs behind him on the road and follows his car every time he steps out of his house.

Varun then asked the policeman if the photographer is allowed to do such things. The policeman laughed and said, ‘yes, it is allowed’. Varun then turns videographer and shoots the paparazzi and tells him ‘Ek din andar jaayega, theek hokar aa jaegah’(If you stay in jail for a day, you will learn your lesson).

Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan was last seen in Remo D’Souza’s film Street Dancer 3D. He will next be seen in David Dhawan’s Coolie No 1 which also stars Sara Ali Khan. The cast of the film recently wrapped the shoot in Goa. Coolie No. 1 is a remake of the 1995 film of the same name starring Govinda and Karisma Kapoor in lead roles. Directed by David Dhawan, Coolie No. 1 is slated to hit screens on May 1, 2020.
