Many Indians are stuck in various parts of the world amid the Coronavirus pandemic. Amongst many Indian students, actress Suchitra Krishnamoorthi’s daughter Kaveri Kapur was stuck in the United States for six days.

Kaveri has been studying at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. She was struggling to get a flight back to India. Now that she is back home, she will be self-quarantine for 14 days. Suchitra shared a photo from the airport and wrote, “And my bacha @kaverikapur is back home from Boston a few mins ago. She will now self quarantine for 14 days A big Thank u to our Govt, our doctors, medical airport airline & security personnel & each & everyone who has been working round the clock to keep India safe #StaySafeStayHome #indiafightscorona.”

Suchitra Krishnamoorthi said that her 19-year-old daughter was tested at the airport and is taking precautionary measures. She also said that everyone at the airport, authorities, and officials cooperated.

Seven years later, Nirbhaya gang-rape convicts have been hanged. The four men were hanged 5:30 am on Friday at Tihar Jail in Delhi. After what seems like a never-ending trial and several delays, the Delhi Court gave an order to hang the rapists.

India’s most favourite couple –Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, lovingly called VirUshka by the nation, came together to spread awareness on the Coronavirus (COVID-19) threat. Virat and Anushka, who are both youth icons, speak up about the importance of self-isolation and the immediate need for all Indians to stay at home to fight the pandemic.

While Virat highlighted that ‘We know that we are all going through a very difficult time’, Anushka reminded people saying ‘And the only way to stop the Coronavirus spread is by acting together!’. Virat further said, ‘We are staying at home for our safety and everyone else’s too’ and Anushka added, ‘You should do it too to prevent the further spread of the virus’.

India is witnessing a steady rise of Coronavirus cases across the country and Virushka stressed on the need for everyone to stay home to stay healthy. While Virat says, ‘Let’s make it safe for us and everyone else by self-isolation’, Anushka finished the video saying, ‘Stay home and Stay Healthy’.

SCOOP: Alia Bhatt may drop out of S S Rajamouli’s RRR

With the Corona Virus playing havoc with Bollywood schedules, some of the biggest forthcoming films find their future in danger, the bigger the more endangered. And among the big films on the anvil, the biggest is S S Rajamouli’s RRR (apparently the triple RRR is an acronym for Raghupati Raghav Rajaram).

The film has been plagued by schedule and casting problem from the word go, what with Ramcharan injuring himself. Then the British actress Daisy Edgar Jones who was signed to star opposite NTR Jr backed out with a lame excuse.

We now hear of the very professional Alia Bhatt who was to shoot for her guest appearance in RRR, would now find it difficult to juggle her dates, post the Coronavirus. Says a source, “Alia was to shoot for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi through March and then join Rajamouli’s unit in Hyderabad in April. But now with all shootings cancelled she has re-shuffled her dates. Since she is the hero of Bhansali’s film and has only a cameo in Rajamouli’s film she may end up not doing Rajamouli’s film at all.”

All we can say is, let’s just wait and watch where the virus takes the entertainment industry.

Modelled on Amitabh Bachchan in Zanjeer, Radhe would have no songs for Salman Khan

If in Dabangg 3 we saw the mischievous side of Salman Khan bubble to the surface. Radhe – Your Most Wanted Bhai would feature him as a cop who barely smiles. The serious cop out to eradicate crime in Mumbai means business. Apparently, Salman will not sing any songs on screen.

“Not this time,” says someone close to the project. “Radhe is far more raw and real than Dabangg. This time Salman plays a cop in Mumbai who won’t treat crime and criminals lightly. The cop has nothing to feel happy about. In that sense he is like Amitabh Bachchan Saab in Zanjeer. Very angry sullen and no-nonsense.”

The role of the angry cop in Zanjeer which turned Mr Bachchan’s career around had been turned down by Dev Anand and Raj Kumar because of the cop’s insistence on not singing. This time in Radhe, Salman is happy to go with the grim graph of Radhe’s character. Nothing Chulbul about this cop.

Salman Khan has never taken on more work in his entire career. Scarcely was he out of Dabangg 3 than he started, and completed another feature film Radhe Your Most Wanted Bhai, the unofficial sequel to Salman-Prabhu Dheva’s Wanted.

While Salman is now into shooting his third feature film Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali in a year, news comes that a team of writers at his production house are working on an Indianized version of the Steven Spielberg’s iconic franchise Indiana Jones.

The hugely successful franchise featuring Harrison Ford as an adventurous archaeologist took the global box office by storm in the 1980s, Recently Spielberg and Ford announced the fifth film in the Franchise.

What would Salman Khan’s version of the Franchise be like? According to a source it would be very different from what Harrison Ford played. “What will remain the same is the love of the outdoors. Like Harrison Ford, Salman will play a professional exploring virgin territories for various adventures. The spirit of the Indiana Jones films will remain intact. For long now, Salman has wanted to do something adventurous rugged and outdoors. An Indianized Indiana Jones is just what the doctor prescribed,” says the source.

The character is being developed for an ongoing franchise. It may be developed as Salman’s first product for the OTT platform.

Coronavirus Effect: Release of Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone starrer ’83’ put on hold

After Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi, Ranveer Singh-starrer cricket drama “83” is the latest Bollywood film to indefinitely postpone its release due to coronavirus pandemic. Ranveer took to his Twitter to share the news with his fans, saying “health and safety of the nation” came first. The film, directed by Kabir Khan, was set to be released April 10 but it will now arrive in theatres at a later date. “In the wake of the risks posed by the recent outbreak of Covid-19 and the growing health concerns, the release of ’83’ has been put on hold. We will take a decision regarding the next course of action once the conditions return to normal.

Bollywood supports PM Narendra Modi’s order of one-day nationwide curfew to combat coronavirus

India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the citizens on Thursday, March 19, as Coronavirus cases in India increased. Modi announced that there will be a curfew on Sunday, March 22 from 7 am to 9 pm to take tough measures against what he called a growing crisis.

“There is a need to follow two important things to fight this pandemic — resolve and restraint,” he said. “During this curfew, we shall neither leave our homes nor get onto the streets or roam about our localities. Only those associated with emergency and essential services will leave home,” the PM said. “This Janata Curfew will in a way be a litmus test for us. This is also the time to see how prepared India is to fight off a global pandemic like the coronavirus.”

Bollywood celebrities like Ajay Devgn, Ayushmann Khurrana, Parineeti Chopra, Sidharth Malhotra among others have come out in support of Modi’s Janta Curfew initiative.

Bringing the culture of China in the new love anthem, Jackson Wang is a warrior who is fighting for his love and kingdom! Depicting his emotions about love through this lyrics, he says, “You turn over the hour glass / The sand is falling down, oh it’s too fast for you / For you, for you ./ Don’t waste your love, just let it last / Cause once it’s gone, it’s never coming back / It’s true Could you love me the same? / Tell me what makes you stay.“

The musician expresses the difficulties and pain he has endured to save his kingdom and overcome the hardships in every way possible. The dance break is amazing and the duet with a woman brings out a perfect romance. “I have 100 ways to win this battle,” he says in the lyrics.

Another verse goes, “It’s the final curtain call, but if you’re ready / I will give my all / For you, for you / Let them say it how they want /  If I can love you good, it’s no one’s fault / Ooh Could you love me the same? / Tell me what makes you stay / There’s a hundred ways to leave a lover.” 

Creatively, Wang has once again showcased his artistic side just like the last couple of his music videos with ‘Bullet To The Heart’, ‘D-Way’ and ‘Titanic’. He continues to express his emotional side through his solo work.

Jackson Wang, throughout the years, released many solo tracks apart from his work with GOT7. The 25-year-old musician released his eight-track album ‘Mirrors’ last year. He made chart history by becoming the first Chinese artist to debut at No. 32 on Billboard 2020 charts.

83 is officially postponed! The Ranveer Singh starrer was in limbo amid Coronavirus outbreak. Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi has been postponed already whereas many films are being rescheduled seeing the current scenario. On Friday, Ranveer took to social media to officially announce it the film won’t release on the scheduled date!

The actor wrote, “83 is not just our film but the entire nation’s film. But the health and safety of the nation always comes first. Stay safe, take care. We shall be back soon!”

The official statement read, “In the wake of the risks posed by the recent outbreak of COVID-19 and the growing health concerns, the release of 83 has been put on hold. We will take a decision regarding the next course of action once the conditions return to normal. We urge our fans to take all the necessary precautions and take care of their loved ones. 83 is a film about fighting the odds and we hope we all will bounce back from this soon. With Love.Team.”

In 1983, the Indian Cricket Team won the Cricket World Cup in England. This was the first time ever that any team apart from the West Indies ever won the world cup. And, it was the first time ever, that an Indian team won any prestigious tournament.

Ranveer Singh will be seen as Kapil Dev whereas Deepika Padukone will essay the role of his wife, Romi Dev.

Reliance Entertainment and Phantom Films present 83, a Kabir Khan Films Production. The film is produced by Deepika Padukone, Kabir Khan, Vishnu Induri, Sajid Nadiadwala, Phantom Films, Reliance Entertainment and 83 Film Ltd. 83 is directed by Kabir Khan. A Reliance Entertainment and PVR Pictures was slated for April 10, 2020 release.

Hrithik Roshan’s farmhouse in Lonavala is almost complete

Celebrities often like to step away from their busy schedules to spend quality time with their family. Many of them have vacation homes in or out of the city. Salman Khan owns a Bungalow in Panvel whereas Ajay Devgn has one in Karjat. Adding to the list, Hrithik Roshan and family have purchased a property in Lonavala which is currently under construction and expected to be done by the end of the year.

According to the reports, the Roshans purchased five-seven acres of the land in Lonavala and bungalow construction is now 80 percent complete. When they were looking at properties in Khandala, Hrithik reportedly suggested buying a bigger plot to have amenities, swimming pool, and four bedrooms. They soon begin work on the interiors.

Rakesh Roshan visits the place often to keep a check on the progress whereas Hrithik Roshan gives a visit from time to time!

Meanwhile, on the work front, Hrithik Roshan had a great 2019 with two hits back to back with Super 30 and War.
